Case study
A booking surface that protects margin.
Multi-venue. Reads like the property does in person.
Why this is confidential
The brand says more on-property than on a portfolio page.
Luxury hospitality is a category where the brand carries most of the work. Putting a group's identity on a case study surface diminishes the surface they put their name on — the property itself. We don't do that.
Everything below is the case we can describe. What we built, what it changed for the operator, how the system holds margin.
What can be described
A custom booking system for a multi-venue luxury hospitality group.
The engagement is a custom booking system for a multi-venue luxury hospitality group. The properties operate at a price point where the booking surface is the first impression most guests have of the brand, and the previous surface didn't match what guests experienced on arrival. The work covered reservations across multiple venues, deposit handling, and the admin layer the operations team uses to manage rooms, tables, and events. The client and the specific properties stay private at the client's preference.
The constraint
A third-party platform that didn't match the price point or the brand.
The previous booking flow was a third-party platform that wasn't built for the price point or the brand. Guests landed on a surface that read generic, paid third-party fees on every transaction, and dropped off at a rate the operations team had stopped trying to optimise. The brand cost was harder to measure but real: the booking surface was the only digital interaction many guests had, and it was undercutting the rest of the work.
The outcome
A booking surface that reads like the property does.
The new booking surface reads like the property does. Custom design, custom flow, payment processing direct to the group's accounts instead of through a third-party platform. Margin recovered across every booking. Drop-off reduced because the surface answers the questions a high-spend guest actually has. The brand impression matches what arrival is going to deliver.
