For premium Lagos businesses

Lagos is the next decade of operator-grade software.A Toronto firm building infrastructure for the businesses already running the next economy.

Hospitality, finance, regulated industries, and the founders who don’t accept the off-the-shelf compromise.

The thesis

Lagos is where the next decade scales.

Lagos is where a particular kind of business is going to scale this decade. The operators are already there. The capital is already there. The customer base is already there. What’s been missing is the infrastructure layer that matches what operators in Toronto, London, or Singapore have come to expect by default.

That gap is closing. The firms closing it are operators in hospitality, fintech, energy, and regulated services. They’ve outgrown the platforms that served the early market. They’re now at the point where custom infrastructure is the only thing that fits, and where the cost of staying on a generic stack compounds against them month by month.

DOTxLabs is in Lagos because that’s where the work is. We build for the operators who’ve crossed the threshold from early-stage compromise to needing the real version. Hospitality groups whose properties operate at a price point the booking platform can’t match. Finance firms running cross-border flows that the regional payment infrastructure doesn’t fully serve. Operators in regulated verticals where the digital surface is the regulatory artifact, not the marketing afterthought.

Lagos isn’t a satellite office. It’s an operating anchor, the same way Toronto is. The discipline of running across the two markets is what makes the work better in both.

What makes us different

We’re not an agency. We’re an operating system that happens to ship websites.

Most Lagos digital work fails in the same places. We built the company around closing each gap.

  1. You'll always know where your money is.

Payments are structured around milestones, not lump-sum deposits handed over on trust. Funds release as work ships. If a milestone slips significantly without a documented reason, you have a clear exit. No court. No drama. We'd rather build the system that protects you than ask you to take our word for it.

  2. You'll know what we're doing every week.

Every active client gets a weekly status update. Milestone progress. Where we are against plan. Anything that needs your decision before the next week starts. The week we miss an update is the week something is wrong, and you'll find out before we tell you.

  3. You can find us.

DOTxLabs is a named operator with a real business, not a logo on Instagram. There's a person whose name is on every contract, who picks up the phone, and who shows up when it matters. We're building toward a permanent Lagos presence, but the standard we hold ourselves to doesn't change based on which city we're sleeping in this week.

  4. Pricing that respects the exchange rate.

We quote in Naira and USD together, lock the rate when you sign, and structure long projects to absorb reasonable FX movement without surprise invoices. Whatever currency clears cleanest for your books, that's the one we work in.

  5. We don't disappear when the site goes live.

Every build comes with ongoing care attached from day one. Hosting, monitoring, security, content updates, regular reviews. Not a separate upsell. Not optional. The reason we don't disappear is that we built the system that keeps us showing up.

Who we build for

We’re built for a specific kind of Lagos owner.

We turn away more work than we take. Here’s who we say yes to.

The fit

  • You're the principal.

Owner, founder, family head, senior pastor. The person who can authorize a serious decision in one meeting without going to a board.

  • Your business is past survival mode.

Your problem isn't whether to invest in digital infrastructure. It's whether the next operator will actually deliver it.

  • You want to work with someone who understands both rooms.

The Lagos room where business gets done over voice notes and Sunday lunches. The international room where contracts get respected and deadlines get hit. We were built in both.

Industries

  • Hospitality. Restaurants, hotels, spas, event venues, rooftop concepts.

  • Beauty and wellness. Salons, clinics, multi-brand operators.

  • Luxury and professional services. Interior, architecture, legal, accounting, advisory.

  • Ministry. Established churches, denominational headquarters, faith-based media.

  • Indigenous enterprise. Energy, finance, family offices.

If that’s not you, we’ll tell you on the discovery call. We refer out more than we take in.

What we build

Three product lines. Priced for serious businesses.

Websites and Brand Platforms.

For owners who need their site to do real work. Bookings, payments, content, lead capture, analytics. Not just look pretty on a phone screen. From standard business sites to multi-venue, multi-brand platforms with booking engines and custom admin portals.

AI Concierge and Automation.

Branded WhatsApp chatbots, AI knowledge-base assistants, lead capture flows, back-office automation. Plugs into the systems you already run.

Custom Software.

Scoped engagements for the work that's too specific for an off-the-shelf SaaS and too important for a freelancer to half-ship. Custom admin tools, internal platforms, integrations, and multi-tenant builds.

Ongoing Care (included).

Every build includes ongoing infrastructure and maintenance. Hosting, monitoring, security, content updates, regular business reviews. The reason we don't disappear is the system that keeps us engaged.

Every project is priced in Naira and USD, scoped to your business, and quoted after the discovery call, not before.

How it works

From first call to active build.

  1. Discovery call.

You tell us what's broken. We show you, on the actual screen, how we're solving the same problem for someone else right now. A live walkthrough of real work.

  2. Proposal.

You get a written proposal within days, not weeks. Dual-currency pricing. Milestone schedule. Contract terms in plain English. The FAQ that answers what you didn't want to ask out loud.

  3. Contract.

Standard template, structured around milestones, with clear exit terms for both sides. Jurisdiction is your choice.

  4. Build.

Weekly status updates. Daily contact with your champion via the channel you actually use. Milestone gates with signed approvals. Backups before any significant change. The discipline doesn't slip because the system doesn't allow it to.

  5. Launch and ongoing care.

We don't close out the project until you sign the pre-launch checklist. Then we don't go anywhere. Care begins the day the site goes live.

The work

What we’re building right now.

Active Lagos engagements span luxury hospitality, energy and indigenous capital, and a quiet portfolio of confidential work across regulated industries. Some clients prefer to be named on this surface. Others operate in environments where confidentiality is the structural requirement, and the work stays private at their preference. Both shapes are normal here.

The operating model

How Lagos engagements actually run.

Lagos engagements run on the same shape as Toronto engagements with three operational adaptations. Currency moves in NGN through TransactPay for local flows and USD where the engagement structure calls for it. Contracts run under appropriate legal structures with counsel on both sides where the engagement scale warrants it. Timezone coordination is structured: DOT works the overlap window directly, with async cadence covering the rest. In-person work happens during scheduled travel windows; the May and October visits are standing rhythm. Photographers and videographers are vetted and retained locally for the shoot days that need them. The point is operational, not aesthetic. Lagos engagements work because the operating model accounts for what makes Lagos different.

FAQ

The questions Lagos owners ask before they sign.

You don't lose what you've put in, because the contract isn't structured to make disappearing profitable. Payments tie to milestones. Milestones tie to deliverables. If we stop delivering, the structure protects you, not us. We built it that way on purpose.

Founder note

A word from DOT.

I’m DOT. I founded DOTxLabs because the international standard of digital work, the kind that runs serious businesses everywhere else by default, is still treated as a luxury in Lagos. I don’t accept that framing.

The reason this page exists is simple. I’m tired of hearing “I paid a developer and got nothing.” I’ve heard it from family. I’ve heard it from church. I’ve heard it from people who should have known better and people who couldn’t have. The problem isn’t talent. Nigeria has more good developers than most countries can claim. The problem is that there’s no system between the buyer and the developer to make sure both sides hold up their end.

So we built the system. The contract structure. The weekly discipline. The client portal. The care plan. The phone number that gets answered.

If your business deserves digital infrastructure that actually works, and you’ve already paid for one round that didn’t, book the call. Worst case, you learn something. Best case, we build something that lasts.
